I am working on packaging updated versions of kdenlive, kdenlive-data, melt, libav-tools Track progress via bug (LP: #1402216)
The plan is to have this all fixed up for 15.04 Vivid https://launchpad.net/bugs/1402216 ** Changed in: kdenlive (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Rick Timmis (rick-timmis) ** Changed in: kdenlive (Ubuntu) Status: New => In Progress -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Studio Bugs, which is subscribed to kdenlive in Ubuntu. Status in kdenlive package in Ubuntu: In Progress Bug description: When I click the "play" button in the Monitor pane, it will begin playback of the highlighted clip/current project, and will be fine for a few seconds, but then will freeze. Occasionally I can hit the "pause" button and bring the program out of the freeze, but more often than not it quits responding and I have to force quit. I'm running on an Acer Aspire One netbook with Intel Atom dual-core 1.6 GHz processor and 2 GB of RAM. I thought at first I might simply be asking too much of the machine, so I set the default video format to VGA NTSC (640x480), but I still get the same behavior. Any help is appreciated! *edit* I accidentally posted this under "Questions" to begin with. It was suggested there that I switch my Visual Effects (under the "Appearance" System Preference) to "None", however this had no effect.
