I had opened someone else .blend file, and wanted to choose "Load factory settings" when I accidentally clicked on "Save default settings". This caused problems for me, since it changed my my default workspace that I had configured as I wanted it. So I propose that it ask for confirmation like "Do you really want to save these settings as the default settings?".
