Public bug reported: Due to many reported crashes when calf plugins are used with ardour, we pushed an update to calf-plugins (to 0.90.1) which added a Conflicts: with the calf-ladspa package (which is part of lmms). As lmms Depends: on calf-ladspa, lmms had to be temporarily dropped from the Ubuntu Studio seeds for Disco (to be 19.04).
One temporary fix might be to drop calf-ladspa to Recommends: instead of Depends: which should allow calf-plugs and lmms to be installed together: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=891756 On another Debian bug, it is argued that calf-ladspa was originally only meant to be used by lmms, and should not have been exposed to other apps as a separate package.
