In Ubuntu 18.04LTS you can install the "arc-theme" package that contains arc-dark theme, then you will have to install "qt5-style-plugins" and set Qt5 applications to use the Gtk+ 2 style by adding:
echo "export QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=gtk2" >> ~/.profile After that you have to logout and install a dark theme for LyX: https://github.com/joonro/LyX-Color-Schemes/blob/master/monokai Source: https://www.linuxuprising.com/2018/05/get-qt5-apps-to-use-native-gtk-style-in.html ** Attachment added: "LyX dark" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lyx/+bug/395767/+attachment/5280231/+files/Captura%20de%202019-07-31%2022-32-38.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Studio Bugs, which is subscribed to lyx in Ubuntu. I've come across a minor bug in lyx relating to lyx's UI. If you use a dark theme and pull down the selector list (subsection, subsubsection, quote etc) you can only see the highlighted values all the rest are darkened or the same colour as the background. I've attached a screenshot to show what I mean more clearly.
