Public bug reported: I do not remember the error text but it had 'python' in it.
I can boot to three different OSs on different drives: Xubuntu 20.04, Windows 10, and Ubuntu Studio. The boot drive is Xubuntu. The Ubuntu Studio install screens identified the Xubuntu drive as containing the grub location to be updated but gave an error during that update, the last install step, after which on rebooting the computer I could only get to the grub prompt, no grub menu. I could get to the Windows OS by selecting that drive in the motherboard boot sequence. It took a few hours to figure out how to fix grub to have the expected menu and boot into all three OSs. This is the web-page I used. https://maunium.net/blog/linux-grub-fix/ I can boot into Ubuntu Studio now but it shows a long list of activities being performed before getting to where I enter my password. I expect that this list is normal and just not being hidden. A shorter list is also displayed on shutdown. I attempted to run jack control but it would not run. The app would open but is giving an error when started. I will copy back my saved user directory and see what happens. ** Affects: ubuntustudio-installer Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Studio Bugs, which is subscribed to The Ubuntu Studio Project.
