post-fader setting of Hydrogen doesn't work

Bug description:
Binary package hint: hydrogen
The post-fader setting in Hydrogen doesn't work at all. When you select it in
the preferences and click ok to confirm, when you come back the preferences
window, it has switched over to "pre-fader". Hydrogen is unable to keep the
post-fader setting, which is really annoying indeed!
I did several installs, either with Ubuntu, Kubuntu & Ubuntustudio, with the
same result each time. So this is an "Ubuntu" related issue I guess.
