Public bug reported: Full disk install on dc7700 (legacy BIOS box)
I've suffered a few install failures of late, but have pretty much ignored them due to unusual install issues (flaky internet), unusual options etc.. but this should have easily worked Error on screen at "Installation Failed" is --- Command <i>calamares-logs-helper /tmp/calamares-root-vty5dntn</i> finished with exit code 1. Output: + root=/tmp/calamares-root-vty5dntn + install_dir=/tmp/calamares-root-vty5dntn/var/log/installer + [ -d /tmp/calamares-root-vty5dntn/var/log/installer ] + mkdir -p /tmp/calamares-root-vty5dntn/var/log/installer + cp /root/.cache/calamares/session.log /tmp/calamares-root-vty5dntn/var/log/installer/debug cp: cannot stat '/root/.cache/calamares/session.log': No such file or directory --- Maybe related is https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/calamares/+bug/2036699 (On that one I blamed flaky internet I have on occasion; but this install was made with the room router OFF, ie. offline install so internet is off). When the machine was booted; the router was on. I went to other room to check what install I was doing; realized it was no-internet so returned here & turned it off; so there was internet during boot, but internet was done PRIOR to starting the installer; pop-up of no internet appeared on screen before I clicked 'INSTALL'.
