As you can see, we dropped fcitx from Jammy, so this bug is irrelevant in any

Installer doesn't accept fcitx virtual keyboard input

Bug description:
Using Lubuntu AMD64 20.04 installer image:
1. Launch fcitx from the menu (appears under "System")
2. fcitx appears in system tray, right click and select virtual keyboard
3. try to enter e.g. username or system name or password with fcitx
Outcome:
No input
Expected outcome:
To be able to use the virtual keyboard to enter information
Workaround:
Launch firefox, enter text into the search box with the virtual keyboard and
copy+paste it with the mouse
