Hey Everyone,

Lucid has now entered Feature Freeze and testing should be stepped up (or
started on regular basis) by you.
Scott, this message is sort of a hope that you, I, and anyone else who wants
to join in can start talking about kernel performances (since Lucid will
have a variety of kernel choices) and new package performance (LV2 stuff,
jack sound-server connections, etc...). I'm picking on Scott because I
believe he and I are two of the more active Ubuntu Studio developers who are
subscribed to this list (we're both very friendly people, but lets keep
discussions on list) and we've both talked about committing to testing (and
to building this testing community).

I'd like to have everyone join in on various kernel testing: -preempt is
default for the 64bit, -lowlatency and 2.6.31-RT (lucid is based on a 2.6.32
kernel, so yes this is an old RT kernel) from the Ubuntu Studio PPA for both
32 and 64bit would need user configuration as they're not in the official
Ubuntu repositories. It'd also be nice to hear some reports of stress
testing (both kernel loads, and application tests).
