Kino did not want to start because it did not find the shared library
'libquicktime.so.1'. After checking it indeed was not installed, even though I
had installed the libquicktime1 package.
Kdenlive did not want to connect to the camcorder either, hence, the problem
was with dvgrab. Starting dvgrab from the command line, I got the error again,
so I guess it is a bug in dvgrab or libquicktime1.
Using dvgrab version 3.5-1 and libquictime1 version
2:1.1.4+0ubuntu0+withcodecs3 on ubuntustudio 10.04.
The only solution was to create a linked file like this :
cd /usr/lib
sudo ln libquicktime.so.0 libquicktime.so.1
This solved the problem in Kino and Kdenlive.
It is a workaround for me, I hope it works for others too.
