This panel discussion features LORD LAWSON, Chancellor of the Exchequer in
Thatcher's government from June 1983 to October 1989; WILL HUTTON, former
editor-in-chief for The Observer and economics correspondent for Newsnight
during Lawson's tenure as Chancellor; Professor RICHARD VINEN of King's
College London, author of 'Thatcher's Britain: The Politics and Social
Upheaval of the Thatcher Era (2009)'; with LORD WILSON, former head of the
Cabinet Office Economic Secretariat under Mrs Thatcher, and later Secretary
of the Cabinet and Head of the Home Civil Service in the Chair.
The event is open to all. Free for Clio and Union members; £2 for everyone
else.
