Would you be interested in contributing to the advancement of linguistic
knowledge, joining an effort to determine what helps people understand each
other? If so, I have great news for you!
I am an MPhil student conducting research on communication between speakers
of English from different parts of the world. As part of my study, I am
looking for participants who are originally from China and who have not
lived outside of China for more than one year. As a participant, you would
be asked to complete a variety of language tasks in one session lasting
between an hour and an hour and a half. You would receive payment for your
time and participation, and you would be contributing to an effort to help
people understand each other better!
If you would be interested in participating, please e-mail me back at
[email protected] with the following information:
(1) your native language/dialect
(2) any other languages/dialects you speak and your level in each (beginner,
intermediate, advanced, fluent, native)
(3) your place of birth in China, any other places lived in China, and
length of stay in each place
(4) how long you have lived outside of China, places lived, and length of
stay in each place
