The appointment willinitially be made on a three-year term basis. The appointee may be considered for tenure after satisfactory completion of a second three-year contract. Applications are welcome from outstanding candidates with expertise in bioresource engineering, biochemical & molecular engineering, algal biotechnology, food biotechnology and food technology. Senior candidates should have a record of obtaining external grant support, and junior candidates are expected to have a strong potential for obtaining such funding. The appointee should establish an active research programme, publish in top-tier journals, and contribute to both graduate and undergraduate supervision and instruction.
