I was thinking of Ninja Bob when I read this, but some of you might like it:

Kapitän Wackelpudding <http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/964>

Morgan D: "Wow! This game is wonderful. After the first play this became one
of my favorite dexterity games. In addition to the great bits and the
innovative yet simple mechanics, this game puts me into the captain's seat.
Most important, it is hard for people not to care what others are doing.
While this game certainly revolves around individual solitaire play, you
must become engrossed in what others are doing because they are going to
leave you with your position (ala Hansa).

I have a bend in the board, and I have to say that this is the only game I
know of that benefits from having a warped board -- it creates tension as
you go over the fold.

I use a variant that takes this game from a 6 to a 9.

The game does perhaps last a bit too long, potentially an island may never
be rolled and the game could then never end. I would recommend using my
tried and true variants. After every round, take one good off each island
with the most goods. My other rule is for the cards. When going to the white
card island, if you draw a keeper you draw again, if you draw another keeper
you should give it to someone, you should continue until you get a Command
Card or a Rule for all Card (if you get a Rule For All card then you must
roll).

UPDATE: This is just flat out the best game of its kind."
