No, all of us did not play Le Havre again. Actually, I was the only one to
play it again. Three first time players, Alison, Keith, and Chris joined me
for a 3 hour 40 minute game of Le Havre. Rules explanation and a pre-game
food break extended the total experience out to an even 4 hours. I must
have done too good a job of explaining how to play the game as the
apprentices schooled the master. Actually, I am far from being a master.
Chris took first place, then Alison, me, and Keith.

I think we all enjoyed the first couple of hours but the length of a four
player game of Le Havre began to take its toll towards the end. The number
of options available to you increases over the life of the game such that by
the end analysis paralysis can really start to bog things down. Experience
with the game and knowing what all the buildings can do would make future
games go a bit quicker I am sure.

The evening started out with two full (five player) games of Smallworld.
Everyone that played seemed to enjoy it.

Hopefully, Mark, you can join us next time.
