Occasionally I'll see a new game on BGG that reminds me of someone in our group. I was pretty sure MarkT would go for Automobile, for example (by the way, how does it compare to Brass or Chicago Express?)
I can almost never figure out which games Ran will like, for some reason. Guns of Gettysburg uses the same mechanics as Bonaparte at Marengo, but in a civil war setting. I saw this game and thought: Ninja Bob! http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/36400 The Guns of Gettysburg The Guns of Gettysburg is a simulation of the largest battle of the American Civil War. The game will be derived from the system Bowen Simmons's previous games Bonaparte at Marengo and Napoleon’s Triumph. Units in the game are represented by linear blocks rather than the traditional hex and counters. The game is designed to play with simple rules and fast play but at the same time reflect the historical limitations of the actual conflict. The games rules are refined somewhat from its predecessors but over all will reflect the same fast play as its predecessors. Player will be able to play single day scenarios or the full three day battle. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "utah county boardgamers association" group.
