MEQ is an enjoyable game. Both times I have played it - it has been a
challenge and I was 100% absorbed. Of course it is probably a bit
easier for Sauron to get absorbed than the heroes based on the two
plays I have been involved in. There is potential for downtime on the
Hero side if they don't want to spend time coordinating with each
other - and also during the fights (the rules state you can't show
your cards to the other players during a fight and you must do it
alone - however I allowed it during our session as at least it helps
with downtime).

Kingsburg expansion: If you enjoy the base game this certainly adds
to variety and choices. IMHO a must have IF the game will be played
on a regular basis.

Tales of the Arabian Knights: I vote on the enjoyable side - however
this is DUE to its story nature. This game is unique and works really
well with people that don't feel they are up to the skill level of
others around the table as there really isn't much of a way to WIN
through good play in this game. You choose options and see what
happens. It is more played for the experience than for the winning.
It certainly isn't for everyone (certainly not APs or those that feel
they need to have control in a game). But for certain people this
works great.
