I did not find any 18EZ converts although that is hardly surprising
considering I didn't bring 18EZ last night.

We had a nice crowd of 17 people spread over four tables of games. With all
the GPP Christmas game boxes piled up in the back room it was a tight
squeeze but it worked out.

I enjoyed teaching Tichu. Say "teaching Tichu" several times in a row
really fast. Bob and Ray were first time players. (Ray was a first time
attendee from Matthew Fisk's Spanish Fork game group.) Ran had played Tichu
before but that was way back in the Sanctuary days. We played to 500
points with Bob and Ran beating me and Ray 505 to 495. Very exciting!

Then I played Cornerstone for the first time. Ran, Bob, Jacob, and I tried
to avoid the shakes playing this block stacking dexterity game. Our first
game ended very quickly when Bob's meeple got trapped inside the blocks and
couldn't be successfully retrieved by Bob. Our second game went on for days
as the tower grew to ridiculous heights before I got greedy and made an
ill-advised move that toppled the tower. Overall, it was quite fun and a
game my son Caleb immediately took an interest in.

I brought along my two sons, Ben and Caleb. Ben played the new expansions
to Pandemic and Dominion. Caleb played Galaxy Trucker and Andrew's new
expansion to Ticket to Ride. The Tylers went winless on the evening but
still had a great time as usual.
