I've since retraded and gotten myself another small addition as well. The big version is bigger. It is in shrink wrap, suitable for gift giving. Also it has a bunch of new characters and cards, and some more variants. Personally, I think the best of both worlds would be to have the small version with the extra characters, and there are files to accomplish this on the BGG. I rented the big version recently and for some reason all of my kids got into it this time around. I'll keep the small version for camping and playing at work.
