Gentlemen (and of course you rare species of ladies), February 5th I intend to host an all day boardgaming event starting at 9am and going until 10pm. I will announce the location a bit later but with luck my work will give me permission to use our training facility which has PLENTY of tables, chairs and most of all.. space.
I am still working out a few of the details but I wanted you to at least get it tentatively marked on your calendars. If it DOES work out the cost of admission will be to bring along as many boardgames as you can fit in your car with the understanding that all in attendance will be able to draw upon the library of games brought and play them. I also intend to weave a Crokinole tournament in there so MarkT and BobC and anyone else with a decent board may need to bring them along. Again, this tentative and I am still working on some details - but hopefully it works out. I will know for sure towards the end of next week. I would like to get a feel for the number of you that would try to attend as if it is a small number it will be easier to just host it at my house.
