Hi all, Jim Fell designed the weird and very fun Zimby Mojo. He followed up with a card game called Bemused.
I have a copy of his new, unreleased card game, DUHR, and am looking for a group of 4-6 to play test either tonight at the Provo Town Centre Mall or in the near future--he needs feedback by the end of October. If you would be interested drop me a note. One reviewer wrote of Bemused: *With all of these processes swirling around it's easy to get lost. This game does not fully reveal itself upon the first play. It will take a commitment to get comfortable and really tease out all of the delicious elements. The awkwardness of the turn structure fades over time as well, resulting in a smoother flow. If you can get there the payoff is outstanding; this may just be the best 15 minute game I've ever played.* *Bemused earns that utmost compliment because it utilizes its vast array of connections and eccentric mechanisms to fuel social play. Alliances form out of the ether and collapse into dust. One round you will join in the dog-pile on the Musician and the next everyone will have their poisoned daggers tickling the small of your back. The opaque condition and esoteric point structure keep an element of mystery as you feel your way through the play-state and attempt to make sense where none exists.* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "utah county boardgamers association" group.
