Ulrich Drepper, the glibc maintainer, has gone crazy and believes that static linking should never be used for anything:
http://people.redhat.com/drepper/no_static_linking.html (Somebody should tell him about execute in place support, about dynamic linking dirtying per-process physical pages, about portability between systems... He doesn't seem to understand any of it, according to that rant...) According to archive.org that page has been up since 2004... Rob -- Latency is more important than throughput. It's that simple. - Linus Torvalds _______________________________________________ uClibc mailing list [email protected] http://lists.busybox.net/mailman/listinfo/uclibc
