Wouldn't it simplify things to move ldconfig to "utils" build? It's easy enough to feed CCFLAGS=--static to make utils, so there would be no need for UCLIBC_STATIC_LDCONFIG.
Just wondering why this is currently A) special cased, B) in a different area than the other executables like ldd and such. Rob -- Latency is more important than throughput.
