I have personally not dealt with the "prelink" topic. Maybe, you can describe in one or two sentences why do you think it is worth a version-bump. In any case, programmers seem not to love to document their work or after work is done (code is code and no documentation). Would you mind to write a docs/prelink.txt [1]?
