Dear Greg,

Thanx. Although I handle the task with a trick ( I programmed the FPGA in
RedBoot before loading the Linux) but I still prefer to handle it in usual
way in Linux using such a rescan function.

Sorry, yes, that option was removed from 2.6.17 onwards.
It used to be in drivers/pci/Kconfig, as CONFIG_PCI_LEGACY_PROC.
