Our firmware crashes for coldfire 5275 and the trace shows that the process
last execution was sched_yield in a signal handler, the kernel is 2.4.x and
arch is m86knommu. The kernel is not preemptible, therefore, sched_yield may
be unsafe to call in a signal handler that could be the reason of firmware
crash. Any idea of sched_yield in this regard?

Thanks,
Hasan

hi

do you mean whether or not the signal will be lost during the
sched_yield()?

        Hello,

        Could anybody tell me whether sched_yield is safe to call inside
a signal handler? Also, could you point me documents that describe
safety issues of different system calls?

        Thanks,

        Hasan
