Hmmm... strange because I succeed to plug a 20Gb USB drive without any
trouble (formatted in FAT32 of course). I've got the Linux 2.6.14 too. Never
tested with 2Gb card, sorry.

Normally not. Maybe on 4GByte cards...
But I have tested the 64KB cluster size on a 512 MByte card.
Did you format the cards from a Windows compter or directly with
fdisk on your linux target ?
I have done both.
It could be interesting to see what
fdisk reports when you inspect your device...
There is nothing wrong with the format. In fact, it works fine with my
linux desktop PC. But in the embedded linux device, it fails.
