Yes the stack trace shows the code at snull_header +0x5c attempted to use register r4 has a pointer Source code is obviously right. SOURCE CODE Is NOT obviously right. Something that works on 2.4.x kernel does not guarantee working on 2.5.14-uc0. I suggest disassembly of snull_header() to determine what is happening at the offset 0x5c. If you cannot read the assembler code to match the C code, than generous printk()'s in snull_header to verify operations dealing with pointers. Jeff Fellin Whose the fault?
