I have been found one solution (Rules.make) in the uClinux-2.4.x modules
at cvs.uclinux.org, and several more at kernel.org. Those from
kernel.org have been in other architectures. I used the web browse
features for cvs and git.

I am attaching a patch of what I did to successfully compile with gcc
4.1.1. It's created against my import of uClinux-dist's linux-2.4.x CVS
on 12/16/2005. It does need some cleanup. Like, I actually haven't
included the proper patch for Rules.make yet.

I can't say whether this patch will be enough with the distro you have.
I am using uClinux-dist-20051110.

Subject: [uClinux-dev] Build uClinux Fails w/ ELF tools 20061214

Hi Jate:

This is a naive question but, where can one find the CVS you mentioned
and how do you access it ?

Note: Greg indicated that the exact distribution of UC Linux is
important and 2.4.27 just indicates what version of the 2.4.x kernel is
in a distribution.
The distribution I am using came from the following archive:
uClinux-dist-20041215.tar.gz.

Best Regards,

Paul R.
