Hi Peter,

The blackfin is one of the best supported uClinux systems available.
The main tool and kernel support comes directly from Analog Devices (ADI)

My company

System Design & Consulting Services, LLC

is based in

  Virginia Beach, VA , USA

We offer some excellent training and design support services for this architecture.

I specialize in remote support and am currently using
ssh and vpn's to be active in a customer's location in a
variety of support roles.

My next training classes are scheduled in the USA at the end of October start of November.

I am offering a 4 day basic class in Blackfin and uClinux and a new 4 day advanced class based on using the Blackfin for high performance computing.

I will post more details on my website later this week.

The basic class gets you set up to use the product and the development tools

The advanced class deals with high performance computing using the blackfin and its peripherals.

I plan to stage the classes one or two weeks apart.
Hotels etc in Virginia Beach are quite reasonable at that time of the year and the weather is sometimes quite good.

I suggest you try the blackfin support lists at

  http://blackfin.uclinux.org

for more detailed answers to your questions.

I have not used OpenGL on this platform and I am not sure if it
will build easily, others may be able to tell you.

Please let me know if I an help in anyway.

Best Regards
  Phil Wilshire
