Hi to all, I have the kernel 2.6, ixp425 monte jade board. I tried to startup the hotplug function for usb. I configured the system That automatically the usb stuff is loaded and the scsi. To regognize when the usb storage is plugged i want to use /sbin/hotplug. I already activeated it in my CONFIG and i se unter /proc/sys/kernel/hotplug the /sbin/hotplug. My problem, after plug in the usb, i get the folowing Messages: usb 1-1: USB disconnect, address 2 usb 1-1: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3 usb 1-1: Product: USB2.0 usb 1-1: Manufacturer: memory usb 1-1: SerialNumber: 000000000000000000000008 usb 1-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice scsi1 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices Vendor: memory Model: USB2.0 Rev: 1.00 Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02 SCSI device sda: 3987968 512-byte hdwr sectors (2042 MB) sda: Write Protect is off sda: assuming drive cache: write through SCSI device sda: 3987968 512-byte hdwr sectors (2042 MB) sda: Write Protect is off sda: assuming drive cache: write through sda:<7>usb-storage: queuecommand called sda1 sd 1:0:0:0: Attached scsi removable disk sda
But no hotplug call. Does anyone have an idea why the hotplug script isn't called? I hope somebody have an idea. best regards Siegfried _______________________________________________ uClinux-dev mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.uclinux.org/mailman/listinfo/uclinux-dev This message was resent by [email protected] To unsubscribe see: http://mailman.uclinux.org/mailman/options/uclinux-dev
