I've got a board with a Silicon Motion graphics chip attached to an
IXP420 via the PCI bus running uCLinux snapgear distribution 3.2.0
kernel version 2.4.27-uc1 that locks the kernel and gives various error
reports while attempting to render to the frame buffer. These are the
errors I get (they vary from run to run):

Unhandled fault: external abort on translation (0x0fe) at va 0xc58a2034

I get the abort_handler most of the time but have received other types
of error messages. I'm trying to track down the problem here but I'm
not really sure where to start. I'm using DirectFB as my graphics
library. Anybody got any ideas?
