Dear uClinux Users/Developers, I want to get uClinux running on a custom board based on the Freescale Coldfire MCF5484 CPU. First of all, is there anybody out there working on this???
As far as I can see from the latest the uClinux distribution from January 2007, there is support for the MCF547x in the 2.4.x Kernel tree. Would it be difficult to move this part to the 2.6.x tree and adapt this code to the MCF548x processor? I have no idea how complex this task might be, so any information on this would be appreciated. The second question is, that as far as I know large amounts of uClinux have been merged into linux-2.6 main line. What does that mean exactly, i.e. which parts have been merged and which directories in linux-2.6 belong originally to uClinux? If uClinux has been merged with linux-2.6 where is the need for a uClinux distribution by itself? I am a bit confused about this merge of uClinux and linux-2.6. Thanks for any help on this, Markus Franke _______________________________________________ uClinux-dev mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.uclinux.org/mailman/listinfo/uclinux-dev This message was resent by [email protected] To unsubscribe see: http://mailman.uclinux.org/mailman/options/uclinux-dev
