Erwin,

The flash is recognized at boot time and I can write it entirely (4Mbytes) with 
success. The problem is that I cannot write at the 0e0000 to 0Fffff (128 K 
bytes) address range. I think this range is entirely erased and some how 
protected.

BY the way, the kernel is 2.4.
