Dear all,

I am wondering about the output of /proc/<pid>/stat under uClinux-dist_20070130. Column 18 resp. 19 should represent the priority and nice values of the corresponding process. When I start a new process, let's say a shell, the priority is set to 17 and the nice value to 0. However, some other processes have priority 15 and nice value -5. How is the default priority for new processes determined within uClinux? Actually, I thought every new process gets the priority 20 and a default nice value of 0 in linux. I guess I mix up something.

Best regards,
Markus
