Hi,

I'm experiencing an odd issue with the slab allocator during kmem_cache_init(). The memory map between the two systems is 95% identical. I based my original work from the EB40 kernel and have the systems configured the same through 'make menuconfig'.

Observing the kmem_cache_init() on the EB40 produces no ill effects. However, observing the inner working of the kmem_cache_init() it performs/acts differently. I can go into greater detail here, but it gets pretty harebrained in side this function.

Is there someone in the uCLinux community who understands the slab allocation system and it's requirements with respect to uCLinux and the selected processor? I need to bounce some ideas off of you to get this target operational under uCLinux.

thanks in advance.
Bob
