Dear uClinux developers/users,

I am working with uClinux on a Coldfire based board and I would like
to receive correct cpu usage information. I am not sure whether I can
rely on the information provided by "top" which is included in
busybox. If I sum up the cpu usage percentage of each task in the
system I get a value which is far above 100% which should be
practically impossible. "top" relies on the information provided in
the /proc filesystem, right? So the question would be whether all the
information needed by "top" are provided in the /proc filesystem for
the Coldfire architecture?

I am working on uClinux-Dist-20070130 with the default linux kernel.
(linux-2.6.19-uc1)

Best Regards,

Markus

Hello!
See my answer to Remco Poelstra about modified "cpu" utility - maybe it will help.
But if you want to know per-task usage - it will not help you, sorry

Vitaly
