Where can I find the MTD patch? I will take a look of ramfs. My gut feeling is that it is probably not very useful. For one we need to populate the RAM fs content at the beginning. For two, it still takes RAM. :) For sure ROMFS over ramdisk does not work. We tried that. Cheers.
