The magic romptr hook is redundant. It is possible to do the same with
get_unmapped_area() and BDI flags. There are patches to make this work with
MTD, but they're waiting on the MTD maintainer.

Are the patches supplied only for 20080808 or will they also work with
the 2007 version?
