I guess that printers aren't quite the big investment item anymore. Are they good quality, and do they still work?
IMO almost all bubblejets are crap. Haven't had one yet where the cartridges wouldn't dry up if you didn't use it at least once a week. Which is usually the point at which people get frustrated and chuck them. So other than the cartridges, and the occasional missing power wart, salvaged ones usually do work. Bubblejets are a groundbreaking tech in various other industrial uses but for printing, lasers are worth the premium in comparison. Not that I kill many trees these days. Anyway it turns out the 712 series is PPA, so that may take a while to find a way in (there almost always is.) I'd say anyone wanting to try this best stick to 800 series or up, something with a USB port, until I actually manage to wedge it onto a pre-PPA model and verify it works. -- Brian _______________________________________________ uClinux-dev mailing list uClinux-dev@uclinux.org http://mailman.uclinux.org/mailman/listinfo/uclinux-dev This message was resent by uclinux-dev@uclinux.org To unsubscribe see: http://mailman.uclinux.org/mailman/options/uclinux-dev
