I'm developing a board that uses LPC17xx [1] (Cortex-M3 with 512KB Flash and
64K SDRAM). With the 512KB of internal flash I could fit u-boot leaving left
space, but still unable to incorporate a uclinux image and filesystem...

What would be the minimum necessary to run a minimal system (i.e
uboot+uclinux)?

I was thinking between 2/4MB for NOR Flash and 8MB of SDRAM. But I'd like
another option in what could be the _mininum_ necessary? In the kernel image,
basically, I'll set: USB, Network (+Wireless) and File system (VFAT).

Any suggestion will be appreciate.
