If you are trying to use
the SDK quickstart, I didn’t get that to work either.
If you start from the
Project quickstart: http://udig.refractions.net/confluence/display/UDIG/Project+Quickstart
You can then build the
tool as described in http://udig.refractions.net/docs/BasicToolTutorial.pdf
You can go to IRC on the
freenode server at the #udig channel. That worked real well for me when I was
in trouble J

creating the plugin explained in BasisToolTutorial.pdf (Distance Tool). When I
have to implement the ModalTool I can't locate this class:
net.refractions.udig.project.ui.tool.AbstractModalTool.
I send you the printscreen of my problem. I don't know
what I have to do. Import more classes? Configure something in Eclipse to
search that class?
