I think moving to a fixed grid ala Google would be a wiser tiling
system, both because you can re-use the tiles in your own client-side
cache, and you provide the possibility of high-load WMS servers
getting cache advantages themselves by using a cache like squid.

This can be turned off in the preferences if it is annoying or the
WMS puts something like a legend in every render.
