Sorry reading a bit more carefully! One thing (the major thing) that is different with the snapshot is me turning on WMS 1.3.0 support during the initial "version negotiation" where client and server decide on a protocol.
So it could be you are running into a similar problem as the one I am working on here: https://jira.codehaus.org/browse/UDIG-1951 (Basically uDig is reading the GetCapabilities document, but then having trouble calculating the correct area to request when doing individual GetMap requests) Still I have tried things out locally and do not see an issue (with tracing turned on my log shows things like this): !ENTRY net.refractions.udig.catalog.internal.wmt 4 0 2012-10-09 11:26:08.895 !MESSAGE WMT GetTile: http://tile.openstreetmap.org/9/464/285.png Do you have any further details on how you produced the stack trace?
