Hi! I was going through your ideas page and I have been looking at the project idea "Adding a Shape file form editor". I want to know if i am thinking in the right direction. Here is what i have understood about the project idea: The main idea is to build a form (shapefile_name.form), that will attached/linked to a shapefile. The user while creating a shapefile can make a form for that shapefile, for entering some data like for example tree codes, with some details regarding it. For creating the form, various form attributes will be provided to the user. All this data has to be saved in some xml format. The user while loading the shapefile, can use this form to populate his database. I want your guidance with it. I also viewed the older page of the idea. It mentioned that while adding a polygon, a separate dialog box pops out that, so as to enter the attributes related to that digitized polygon. Presently the attributes and the polygons are added separately. I want to know if it has been implemented or not? I use udig version 1.3.2, and attributes and polygons need to be added separately. your guidance can be very useful.
