I got tired after GeoTools incubation process :-)

More seriously we are fairly well connected to OSGeo with strong ties via the
GeoTools community. Where we have been weak is bringing in new RCP developers
and pushing GIS into the Eclipse space.

Hense the strategic move to join the Eclipse Foundation via the LocationTech
industry working group.

Now I understand that OSGeo does not mind if projects belong to more than one
organisation (especially now that they have backed down to a "volunteer driven"
organisation). Still with the help we are getting from Andrew and Sharon I
cannot see the advantage in joining OSGeo since we already have strong ties.

That said I would like to see the version of uDig used by the OSGeo Live DVD
upgraded to 1.4.0 :-D That is one of the main publicity things OSGeo does.

Note: I am the incubation committee chair for OSGeo so I have to tread a little
lightly on this topic.
