to avoid problems coming from eclipse caches please run the product with
two checked options in the "Run configurations .." --> choose udig.product:
1. on the Main tab check "Clear" option to clean up workspace area
2. on the Configuration tab check "Clear the configuration area before
launching"

and please hit "validate Plug-Ins" on the plug-ins tab to verify all
required bundles are in the product configuration. You can do the same on
the product editor (on the product file --> right mouse --> open with -->
"Product Configuration Editor"
