Does it compile without the patch ?
No, the 2.6.13 usbatm will not compile within 2.6.11.12 source tree.
Even if I copy include/linux/skbuff.h - there's just too many
dependencies apparently.
I basically don't know which version of usbatm I need. 2.6.11.12 cannon
be patched - it's just too different. Inspecting the code I see
different structures, so applying a patch onto it cannot succeed.
15.05.05? It failed already. Just recalled I have 2.6.12.5 kernel at
hand - will uncompress it and see if that can be patched + compiled on
my 2.6.11.12.
> Have you tried with 2.6.13 or a vanilla kernel ?
I would prefer to use my 2.6.11.12 as it's the only one for which there
is grsecurity patch available. grsec for 2.6.13 is still in RC phases +
the kernel itself came out just a few days ago. It's all meant to be on
a server, so I just don't want to risk.
Thus if I keep to fail... I may just go back to the old eagle-usb - it
did work for me out of the box. Although obviously I would really like
to get your new driver work, as it's presumably faster + more elegant.
Thanks for your time Matthieu!
