I don't think we should delay the release of UFRaw. It is long overdue and
lensfun is nice but not an essential library for UFRaw.
Test the lensfun SVN code with UFRaw then you probably will be safe. It would
be bad planning from the author of lensfun to make any API changes just before
a release.
