some comments from my subjective point of view.

I use it almost all the time. True it is possible to duplicate its 
functionality with curves, but one slider is faster (also I am not very 
comfortable using ufraw curve, for some reason they seem less "nice" than 
in gimp). Also results of contrast 1.10-1.30 are quite ok.

I work with CVS version and I get crashes in gimp-plugin from time to 
time. Maybe 1 photo in 20, maybe less. Usually they happen when moving 
sliders (exp, contrast, wb) or pressing overexp indicator. I don't know 
how to give you more details about it, but I may try.
